I received Citizenship to the United Kingdom in 2002 after growing up amongst turbulent Iranian politics and the revolution and resulting civil war with Iraq (1980-88).
I joined a local poetry group 'Pegagus Poets' at Hilldrop Community Centre, (organised by long term friend Tessa Dummett) in Holloway Road. This helped re-connect me with a simpler way of enjoying and learning to write and improve my idea of language.
With the influence of family and friends I have arrived at learning about painting and mark making. With the help of my youngest son, this website is an on-going portfolio of my work. Hopefully It will continue to motivate me to keep on trying to work with care and intention.
